The Motion of our Emotions

Honor the motion of your emotions.

Our emotions are a form of energy. If you stop them, you block them. If you feel them, you heal them. They are meant to move through us. They are meant to inform us.

They’re never random. They always have a message.

We don’t always want to hear what they have to say. Our emotions sometimes politely ask for a seat at our table.

If not welcomed, the asking becomes louder and more volatile. “I’m here! Listen to me! Are you deaf? I have something to tell you. What do I have to do TO MAKE YOU LISTEN??”

Tough feelings can lead us to new spaces and places if we get our courage up and allow the movement of our emotions.

Pay attention to feelings. Show up for yourself: even when it’s hard and it hurts.

Create a relationship with yourself that’s honest, brave, and kind. You’ll feel vulnerable and exposed at times.

But you’ll enter into new uncharted territory where you will discover you are so much more than you ever thought you were.
