What’s Included
This interactive guide provides simulated situations that students collectively and individually resolve. The lessons are designed for easy implementation by providing scripted, carefully crafted exercises and activities.
The lesson plans contain low stakes, high impact activities to stimulate self-awareness, social awareness, psychological safety, productive group work, and relationship skills.
Students will:
Improve self-awareness, social awareness, psychological safety, productive group work, and relationship skills
Build empathy and collaboration skills while Listening on Purpose and Talking on Purpose to others
Learn to regulate their emotions and stay in a calm place when a conversation gets heated
Understand the teenage brain and how the pre-frontal cortex (executive functioning) and amygdala (impulsivity and reaction) influence their behavior
Discover how to store guns securely
Think critically about how to respond and stay safe in difficult situations involving firearms
Design a mini-project to tell targeted audiences about safe gun storage and other aspects of these lessons
